Buying a Tandem Double Buggy

A tandem double buggy can be a great choice if you have twins, or children who are very close in age. They are narrower than side by side buggies and are ideal for narrow spaces like doors, public transport, and rough terrain.

Some can be converted into travel systems that can take two carrycots or child car seats. However, they can be heavier and longer than single pushchairs, and may not be as stable when as they bump up the kerbs.

Convertible

If you're looking for a convertible stroller that can be converted from a single to a double infant stroller or to add an additional seat to an existing one, there's several options available. The UPPAbaby is a large, beautiful stroller. It can be easily converted from a single to a dual by adding the rumble seat. It is more expensive and less maneuverable since the second seat is placed in front of the first seat. Nuna Demi Grow is a similar model however, it doesn't have storage underneath the seat when it's used as a double stroller.

Other alternatives include twin buggies with all-terrain wheels as well as joggers that have fixed wheels that can be used to carry two children. They are more expensive, but they are made for long trips on rough terrain and have more expensive resales.

Reclining the seat independently

If you need a double pram and pushchair buggy that can transport children of different ages, you'll want one that has recline that is independent for both seats. This will allow your child's older to rest in the back while the baby sleeps in the bassinet, and vice versa.
